Guest guest
I am about to start my 3 1/2 year old on potty training but I am a bit confused as to whether to get a potty that just make tunes or one that sings and make phrases, as well as the brand. Thanks for your response.
Guest guest
that's what I did with my then 3.5 yo son, he was too big for those singing potties in my opinion. We got him one by Bjorn that attaches to the toilet. Simple, cheap and easy to clean. We had our bag of tricks (toys, candy, books) and that was enough reinforcement for him. Good luck! Guest guest
For a three and half year old I would definately use an attachment for the big potty. Also, desired items that are only used during potty time will help. Re: Selecting a Potty that's what I did with my then 3.5 yo son, he was too big for those singing potties in my opinion. Guest guest
If you don't want to go to any added expense, or your child is too big for a potty chair/seat, you could try sitting him/her backward on the regular toilet (facing the tank so he/she can hold on.) We put a piece of poster board on the wall above the tank and put a smile sticker for each success on the potty. After 5 successes my child got a hershey's kiss or other small candy. Training was quick and easy.
