Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the warm wishes. received his transplant, he is in ICU and doing great. They were able to remove the breathing tube after just 10 hours, I was amazed, his first word was " ugh " . His sense of humor has even been intact in between conciousness. He should be fully alert today, then more progress can be made ;-) All we know so far is that " it was a very young healthy liver " . His liver was huge and ugly. I posted a couple pics on his blog if ya want to see. The Transplant team is certainly great-we haven't had any issues. I will be heading back to SA this afternoon, have to take care of a few things on the home front, poor puppies are so confused. in TXBrother, 31, US & PSC, TX 12/12/07-- Some of my crazy lil' blogs & website....www.ancestralroots.blogspot.comwww.savedusty.blogspot.com www.mycrazylilworld.blogspot.comwww.mtmcreationsonline.com

Guest guest
Thanks to everyone! is starting to look sooooooo much better. They are still unsure about the bleed, Dr. Washburn (surgeon) doesn't seem to be overly concerned. They are hopefull that it can be contained and controlled with blood. They gave him some additional platlets this afternoon, they still are not seeing the marked improvement for blood counts, so the went ahead and put him NPO for now, but they are letting him have ice chips-which he is very thankfull for. His urine is normal for the first time in years. I couldn't belive it when I saw it. They took the bandages off the incision, you can see the staples now, and it looks great. He is starting to get " itchy " around the staples, we like that-means it is healing.... You are welcome to view his blog-there is allot of sarcastic humor...www.savedusty.blogspot.com Thanks to everyone for their prayers and continued prayers. I have seen to many answered... in Texas Brother, , 31, UC & PSC, TX 12/12/2007 Congratulations on s liver! How do you get to the blog to look at the old liver? We are new to the list and not sure how to find the blogs. Thanks What a great Christmas present! I checked out the Big Bird blog (very nicely done!) and am thinking of you and your family all the time.
