Guest guest
BCPS PARENT/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT TASK FORCE TO HOST THIRD PUBLIC FORUM TO SEEK PARENT AND COMMUNITY INPUT Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) wants to hear from you. The District wants your input on how parental and community involvement in schools can be increased. The District's Parent and Community Task Force will hold its third and final public forum on Thursday, November 10, 7-9 p.m. at Coconut Creek High School (1400 Northwest 44th Avenue, Coconut Creek). The Parent and Community Involvement Task Force was established earlier this year by the School Board to energize and increase parent and community involvement in the District and build strong partnerships with families, businesses, government and the community. The public forums are a critical step in building awareness of the initiative and receiving recommendations and feedback from a diverse, cross-section of individuals. Those attending the forum will have an opportunity to meet and share their thoughts with the Task Force. Each participant will have three minutes to speak. ### ABOUT BROWARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is the nation's sixth largest public school system and the largest fully accredited district with over 258,000 students in 234 schools and education centers and 76 charter schools. Guest guest
Unfortunately, Broward Public Schools only apply to children up to the High School level. Just for everyone's information, once your child becomes an adult, and if he or she goes to college, they are basically on their own. There is no support in college. They do have Offices of Disability Services, and the people or advisors working in them are caring. But they are extremely limited in what they can do. Young adults on the spectrum get very lttle actual support and accomodations. My son transitioned well to college life, but still is faced with many obstacles. I wish there was help out there for him. If anyone can help, please let me know. Sandy
