Guest guest
Darlene, Yes. I'm doing some journaling. Actually I have a couple of them. I'm also reading and doing the assignments in a workbook called " The Feeling Good Workbook " . I've also had letters to write and other assignments. This week is exercise but I haven't managed it yet. LOL. Oh and as for forgetting the Lyrica; I've started forgetting if I've taken my pills or not. I now sort them into 3 weekly sorters marked AM/PM/MidDay. That's how I figure it out, if that compartment is empty then I took them! Has either suggested journaling? That has helped me in the past. I used to think I had to be in control of everything, know all that was going on, etc. etc. Now? Well, if it doesn't involve my immediate and/or extended family and no one comes to me and says " Darlene I need you to do this, this and this " I let it roll like a duck off water. We cannot control everything. We never could. It was never supposed to be that way. And yes, you have a right to every emotion - anger, pain, fear, joy, sorrow, whatever it is and I sincerely hope that things will turn the tide as you " sweep out the junk " as they say! As for taking time for yourself, we ALL have a tendency to put others first and in some cases, I think that's how the beast gained entry hold (my own, non-professional opinion) because we did for everyone else and we were " someday " . Well " someday " is now. And if I want to spend 2 hrs a day on the 'puter, so be it. It's my downtime. If I want to crochet all day, so be it. If I feel like I need to do the laundry, it'll get done, you know? I think each and every one of us needs at least 30 minutes a day for " us " to do whatever we want - whether it's to listen to music, read a mag or book (I keep forgetting plots...can we say fibro fog??) or work on a craft just for " us " . No one else. (((Hugs)))) here's to a more relaxed Angie coming down the road at us! Darlene > > Darlene, > No offense taken. My life has been a suckfest the past 6 months with no signs of improvement. However, I have been working on dealing with the stress so that it doesn't kill me. I have made some great strides. Alot has been seeing 2 counselors. They tell me I'm entitled to feel angry, sad, whatever; and that helps a lot. Plus they are really working on me having time for myself; and to let go of what I can't control. I have just started going and it has helped me soooooo much. > > Angie Harley Mama Double-D > Carson City, NV; Single, five children (3 at home), 2 dogs, 4 cats, snow skiing, camping, Harley Rider, Lone Wolf, Blue Thong Society/High Sierra Thong Snappers member, LFA Advocate, independent, opinionated, outspoken, and open minded. > > " It's always something.
