Guest guest
I finally got in to see Dr Zolnoun in Chapel hill. I waited 3 hrs to get in a room.. I really liked her and thought well maybe there is hope. She prescribed Lamactil starting at 25 mgs and working up. Also something to make me sleep. Well its been over a month and I'm on fire still. The meds make me go crap as soon as I take it so now I have a roid lol.. I'm totally miserable in both places. She said she thinks my system is out of wack. Staying up late sleeping till 12 and so on. Anyway I have worked 3rd shift all my life so how can I be out of wack. My body has done this all these years and now I'm out of wack in the past year. I'm sooooooooooo discusted right now I could scream! Anyone else ever tried this. Ive been on everything but lyrica. Pain clinic doc want to do gang something injection to see if that helps but Im skeptical of that since nothing else has helped. I think someones missing something here and I'm the one suffering for it. I called the new docs nurse today and she only takes calls on mon and tues so I'm screwed there to, and shes 3 hours away from where I live anyway. I also tried to get in with a uro/gyn but he's 3 months booked. Lee Ann
Guest guest
Hi, I live in Chapel Hill (well, nearby) and I have seen Dr. Zolnoun also. I noticed that she was really charming the first time I saw her, but each time after that she was more brusque and after a few visits she didn't seem to want me to come back. She is very brilliant and very up-to-date on the research. I would like to see her again just to pick her brain. However, not very nurturing and caring. I am not sure about Lamictal. I have never tried it. However you might want to try Amitriptyline. It does not cure the pain but it definitely takes the edge off. The side effects are thirst and sleepiness. Once you get used to it, it doesn't put you to sleep any more. Also you might want to try Neurontin, which was a life saver for me. Neurontin has hardly any side effects for most people. I have a great doctor in Raleigh. She is not as up-to-date on the research as Dr. Zolnoun but she is really caring. > > I finally got in to see Dr Zolnoun in Chapel hill.
