You can't just go to Baudhuin anymore unless you live in their school boundary zone.

In my experience the best place for your child at this age is Baudhuin Preschool at Nova Southeastern University. It is farther for you to go but worth it. The program includes significant emphasis on speech, language and social communication. I highly recommend it. My child attended Baudhuin for two years from the age of 3 to the age of 5. elementary They focus of everyone there is on speech/language and social development. I had a hard time getting my diagnosis from the neurologist at first as well. In my opinion it is in your best interest to get it. I think they are doing you an injustice by holding off. The fact that my neurologist didn't give my son that diagnosis early on, we missed out on services that he could have been receiving through the county like ABA therapy. Good Luck. You can email me if you want more information.> > > My child who will be 3 years old in a few months has been diagnosed with a significant expressive speech and language impairment and may be on the spectrum (early evaluations by a neurologist and psycholgist state that at this point her symptoms do not qualify her to be on spectrum but ultimately she may be). She is being evaluated by Broward County Schools shortly. I am aware generally of the different broward programs, e.g., place, complex place, pepper, am/pm, etc.., but I am trying to find out where are the best "place" programs in coral springs or parkland or even if place is the proper program or if their is another program where there is a significant emphasis on speech and language and social communication. Any help would be greatly appreciated, since this is all so completely overwhelming. > > > >>
