Guest guest
, Has anyone ever checked the alignment of your pelvis? Are you still seeing a PT? I think the pelvic alignment issues make so much sense - especially since you broke your pelvis! If your alignment is off -- then it's easy for the muscles to develop tension or for them to be clamping down on nerves. It would at least be worth it to look in to it. Only problem is that so many practitioners just don't have a clue! I've seen so many now...and the while there have been a few that actually can see for themselves that my alignment is off, it's like they don't know how to correct it. I was supposed to see Tom last Friday, but my son and I got sick...so we are going this Friday. I think Tom understands and actually knows how to work on alignment issues better than anyone I've seen so far. Don't give up! Guest guest
Hi, thank you. Yes, I am seeing a P.T. Her name is Pinneo. I don't know if she has experience in alignment of the pelvis. I will ask her. Maybe we can get Tom to give her a call. I will see her in a couple of weeks and ask her then. Dr. Zolnoun (a VV researcher at UNC) says that I will never be pain free. Once the pain is set in your spinal chord, it is very unlikely to ever stop. I have read that in other places as well. It has been 14 years. I am just looking for baby steps. I am going to try " Raleigh Advanced Pain Consultants " . They may be able to adjust my " cocktail " of drugs to improve things. I have been doing Hypnotherapy for 3 months. It hasn't helped, but maybe I should give it 6 months before giving up on it. I have been working with the PT, Pinneo, for a short time. I have been massaging and stretching the pelvic floor muscle (levator ani?) with a vibrator shaped like a bulb on a stick. I did discover a muscle on the left side that much more sensitive than the rest of the muscles in there. If that muscle is " disturbed " it sets off a huge pain flareup. I don't know if it is a spasm or what. thinks that if we can get that muscle to be more healthy, it will not have that extreme response. > > , > > Has anyone ever checked the alignment of your pelvis? Guest guest
<I will never be painfree> I'm sorry they gave you this info. Sweetie...keep hope alive. Go watch "The Secret" or "What the Bleep Do We Know?" or go to your faith community in order to have your hope reservoir filled up. Doctors aren't gods and they don't know everything. Your body was given an amazing capacity to heal and I can't imagine your Creator put you here for your vagina to be in pain forever. Hang in there. I was told the same thing and I'm virtually pain free now. You're using a lot of different modalities and I think that is key to getting well again. Do the body/mind/spirit trifecta of healing and wellness...you will get there. Lindsey
