Guest guest
Yes, the same thing happens to me whenever I take antibiotics, I get a yeast infection that doesn't go away for months. Thats why I do not take antibiotics unless I absolutely have to. What I find so interesting is that since, I took two rounds of antibiotics early last year, I haven't been sick and usually I get the flu once a year....knock on wood hehe! The unfortunate part of this is that, the antibiotics kick started my VVS problems, along with all those darn anti-fungal creams. ** CANNOT believe it..... After a week of total sick...finally a diagnosis of double ear and sinus infections . I was so looking forward to getting better . Nope - 3 days into anti-biotics, a raging yeast. I am just so sick of myself. This sudden yeast infection happen to others on anti-biotics as often as me? ( that would be EVERY time I need anti-biotic ) Bummer. Get the MapQuest Toolbar. Guest guest
Oh, poor girl. I'm sorry. I know what you mean, when you say you are sick of yourself. I am sick of my body a lot of the time. This is just a thought, I have not gotten a yeast infection since using probiotics and eating live culture yogurt. Because the bacteria in the probiotics colonizes the intestinal tract and outnumbers the yeast. That way you don't have yeast always lurking in your body ready to spring. > > After a week of total sick...finally a diagnosis of double ear and > sinus infections . Guest guest
Momjohnna, Do try some probiotics, if you haven't already....they can really help prevent infections due to antibiotic use. Femdophilus and Culturelle are two good ones. I take one Culturelle daily (when I remember) ;-). Also, some members have had good success with DanActiv. Just make sure when you are taking an antibiotic that you space the probiotic about two hours before or after. Otherwise, the antibiotic will kill the good effects of the probiotic. I hope you find relief soon. ~Chelle You can purchase Femdophilus and Culturelle at Vitacost.com. Culturelle is also available at Wal-Mart.
