Guest guest
Sharon, I have tried epsom soaks for other things, can't see why they wouldn't help if my hands and/or feet were aching hurt. I do have one of those foot soaky things that bubbles, massages, etc., and I have some " energizing " mint tablets I put in when my feet seem especially painful (like now when they swell to the proportions of an elephants....lol). I also have a paraffin wax thingie that my mom bought me years ago. She uses it a lot with her hands (arthritis) and you can use it on your feet as well. They aren't too expensive and the heat seeps deep in and can provide lots of relief. Just some other thoughts - I know there are days that none of us can " get the pain to go away " ......and I'm like many, I have no problems with what the medical profession can do, but it is a science and not an exact one, so if I can find something that works that doesn't interact with what the doctor is doing, well, I'm going for it because ultimately, I am in charge of my own health, right? Here's shooting for a mostly pain-free weekend! That's my goal!!! (((Hugs))) Darlene > > I have used these alot, as sometimes the tiger balm, and other topicals cause burn mark and sometimes not, don't know why not consistant?? Like my bro says I always have had the weird stuff, weird illnesses, weird symptoms etc. But I do find when my calf muscles exspecially are really bad, I dump the stuff in and sit for appx 1 hr. It is also good for hand soaks for cramping I have had new. This should not cause any reaction. >
Guest guest
Darlene, I have a parafin wax bath and aregular footbath. I use both. The first time I used the parafin wax my daughter was in cosmo and I was a guinea pig. It was wonderful. My Ot also recomemmended it for me. The other thing is to do crafts to keep your hands limber. I learned that from my grandmother who had bad atheritis in her hands. She did embrodery, knitting and simple crochet edgingings until she passed away at 90yrs young.
