I've been laying low, afraid to post anything. Hope it's over!!!! But I need

to know any of you taking lyrica, how long did you take it before you noticed

and results. I started on a very low dose of 75 mg for two weeks, and just

increased it to 150mg four days ago. If anything, I'm having more pain during

the night, so much I can't sleep. I just want to know if I should hang in there

and expect some results soon.

Thank you in advance.

Hugs to all, Judy/WI

I don't take it but thought I would respond. From what I have heard, Lyrica is

different for everyone. Some people have to get the dose increased quite a bit

to feel better. Some still have pain and have to take some kind of pain med in

addition to it. If you are hurting worse, tell your doctor. DONT' STOP IT COLD

TURKEY NO MATTER WHAT.

It may also depend on the type of pain you have. I am curious to know if it

helps the all over regular aches and pains or just the neuropathic or (nerve)

pain. Nerve pain is the pain that has the sensation of burning and tingling and

pins and needles type feeling. Lyrica was introduced originally for diabetic

nerve pain. (also a seizure med too).

Is your pain that burning type sensation?

love and hugs,

Judy,

I took the 75 mg dose for 2 weeks then went up to 150 mg dose 2 x a

day. I actually have felt pretty good, although I have had some break-

thru pain that I have attributed to the fact that I have felt so

good, I've probably done too much.

I would check with your doctor. I have seen where a lot of people are

on varying dosages and yours may need tweaking a little bit. You

might have to take it slightly earlier (I take my 2nd dose at

bedtime). You may have to take slightly more at night than during the

day. I think this stuff is so blasted new that it's pretty much all

trial and error depending on the person anyhow, right now.

Good luck!
