Guest guest
Tara, I want to add that in the past, about seven or eight years ago, I had extreme vulvar itching, pain, white vulvar and anal skin, etc., etc., like you were describing. I was sent to a gyn oncologist who put me under a general anaesthetic and performed 12 knife biopsies on the vulvar skin and then put me on steroid creams. What a mess. The diagnosis was Lichen Sclerosis (a crock). I told them many times it was yeast but they said I didn't have yeast. It was yeast I maintain. When I finally was given a large supply of Diflucan to treat myself by a great urologist, it gradually went away. It was yeast, darn it!! If I hadn't gotten that Diflucan I would really be in bad shape. It has never come back in that form again and all pain and itching and excoriation disappeared when I stopped eating gluten. I later realized after testing that dairy had a part in all this, too. I still have yeast but now it is treated properly and doesn't get to the point of tearing up my vulvar skin. Anyway, I wanted to tell you this in case it might help. Arline
