Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I’m excited to send out the weekend agenda and registration form for our 2008 conference for PSCers and caregivers to be held May 2-4, 2008 at the Mayo Clinic in ville. We have a fantastic weekend planned, and we hope that many of you will be able to attend! Please note that, for the first time, we have planned some pre-conference activities, so that you’ll have time to get to know each other before the conference starts. Tim Wholey and Joanne Grieme are working hard to make the golf tournament a success, so please join us either on the golf tournament or the boat trip. The reputation of the Mayo Clinic is well known, but here are some other highlights: -Dr. Greg Gores of Mayo/Rochester is our keynote speaker. -We have a research segment with an update about present and future PSC research. Our speakers are: -Our own brilliant Dave giving his thoughts on Vitamin A, IBD and PSC -Dr. Dennis Black discussing the progress of the STOPSC project, which we support -Dr. Tom Karlsen, our AASLD award winner, who is coming from Norway to speak to us about his research project, and also about the new Norwegian PSC research center being established, thanks to the recent generous donation by Mr. Stein Hagen. There is hope for a cure! -Saturday lunchtime breakout groups with a physician For those of you who haven’t attended past conferences, please know that these weekends are very energizing. The combination of listening to presentations on all aspects of PSC plus time to socialize with other PSCers and caregivers is an uplifting experience. Please think about attending the conference! If you have any questions, please contact me at pscpartners@... or at thesafers@... . Happy Holidays to everyone and a very healthy and happy new year! Guest guest
Ricky, I must say the 2008 agenda looks very impressive! I was planning on attending this year, even if they had to wheel me in on a gurney, but now I'm completely psyched about it (not to be confused with psycho). :0) Kudos to all who worked to put this together! Guest guest
Hi , I’m glad that you’re completely psyched about the 2008 agenda and that you’re planning to join us, no matter what! It should be a fabulous weekend for all of us. I’ve been working with Dr. Harnois at Mayo to get this all set up, and she has been a fantastic help. Happy Holidays! Guest guest
Hi Ricky, Will there be any refund at the last minute I'm not well enough to travel? I've had a very rough several weeks where I wouldn't have been able to travel if I'd been scheduled to go. I will get travel insurance for the air fare, but what about for the conference fees?
