I am sorry for your loss. You are right, it is such a rollercoaster ride. For

a moment you are so happy and than the nightmare begins. I hope this group

brings you as much comfort and support as it did me. I had an ep last yr. I

started with the metho inj but ended up reequiring surgery. I lost my baby and

rt tube. If it wasn't for this group I don't think I would of found the

strength to ttc again. Ask whatever you like here, whenever you like. Take

On Friday, November 9th I took a HPT and found out that I was pregnant. I had

no real reason to think I was pregnant I just had an extra test and I was a day

late. Being pregnant was the last thing that I expected but I was so excited

because we had been trying for 9 months. Well the next day I started

experiencing cramps which really just felt like my period was coming. I thought

I was having a miscarriage. As the hours rolled by they seemed to get worse. At

9:30 p.m. I decided to share the fact that I was having cramps with my husband.

We went to the ER and they did an ultrasound. Of course they didn't see a baby

in the uterus. The baby had implanted into my left ovary. As I found out after

reading about ectopic pregnancies that it only happens in 1% of the patients.

My levels were 313 and I was only about 4 weeks pregnant. The OBGYN explained

my options which would have been surgery to remove my left ovary or to try the

methotraxate. I wasn't really to lose an ovary so I went with the methotra

xate which requires the follow up blood tests. So presently, I went in for my 7

day follow up and my HCG levels are down to 131. It sounds really awful but I

am so excited. I love my little angel and only wish I she/he could have stayed.

This has been the biggest roller coaster ride of my life. My hearts really goes

out to all the people that have had to go through this.

I have a lot of question but I need to go right now, but it is good to be here

with people that know what I am going through.

Becky, I'm so sorry for your loss. It is such a difficult thing to go through,

but I'm glad you found this support group. I know it has really helped me to

know there are others out there who understand what i'm going through and how

I'm feeling. I had an ep removed on Aug. 23 of this year. I was approx. 9weeks

along and it was too late for the meth shot due to bleeding internally. It all

seems to take time, but eventually you will feel more normal again. By the way,

we all know exactly what you mean about feeling happy about your HCG levels

going down...you feel awful feeling happy about it, but that is normal. It

means your body is getting back to normal and can begin healing. Take care and
