I actually did 6 years in a row of Tomatis in Toronto at the Listening Centre. Toronto is my hometown and it was far more cost effective up there as well at that time. It always really helped my son. It's one of the few effective therapies for auditory processing...there was always improvement. But you need to keep in mind it is a process - building blocks. The first time we went my son could not even go out in the city of Toronto because the noise was impossible for him to tolerate. The following year it was no problem at all. It's very helpful for speech, language and reading...can make all kinds of changes to neurotransmitter and the nervous system. The higher functioning the child...the greater the improvement.

Hi Group,

I am a local Speech and Language Pathologist who has a Certified Occuptional Therapy Assistant eager to try a new program with our clients. I would just like to know if any of you have enrolled your child in this program, and if so what was your experience. The program is call "THE LISTENING PROGRAM by ADVANCED BRAIN TECHNOLOGY" .

Thank You in advance,

Ilene R. Rotman, M.S. CCC-SLP

The Listening Program is NOT Tomatis. I think the question if I am not mistaken was about the "Listening Program", not the same as Tomatis or Berard AIT.AlwaysAna Brushingham

Can anyone explain the difference between the Listening Program, Tomatis, or Berard AIT? My son's OT recommended the Listening Program.

Thanks,

Jenn
