Severin, Good Luck on your surgery. I am very sorry you may have bile

duct cancer. It is probably too late for your doctor to do this before

your surgery but, he/she should call Dr. Gores at Mayo as soon as

possible. Knowledge about treating CC is growing and treatments are

changing with Dr. Gores at Mayo in the lead. A member of the PSC

support group I belong to has early stage CC and his doctors consulted

Dr. Gores when planning on his treatment. Unfortunately his cancer is

in a part of his duct that cannot be removed. He is receiving radiation

treatment via radioactive beads placed into his bile duct.

Once your surgery is over, hopefully Dr. Gores can advise your doctors

on other options to knock out the cancer.
