Guest guest
Hi All,Possible work oppurtunity in the near future in Port St Lucie. After moving numerous times and taking paycuts for our kids school...we really do not want to pass up the port st lucie op. But...I am getting miserable input about the schools for our kids there. And people who have moved to certain districts for their children's schooling are being placed elsewhere where they are very unhappy!I am thinking Palm Beach Garden's is a doable commute to PSL! Can anyone give me some input about Palm Beach Gardens??? Are you happy with your cluster classes (not sure if it is even called that in PBG's) if not are there good Mckay approved schools you are happy with? and what about therapy facilities? Do they accept (your) United Health Care Plan (if you have it). I have one child on medwaiver and one with UHP on the dreaded MW list . Any and all input about anything from Palm Beach Gardens to Port St Lucie would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!TLMorelli

Guest guest
Port St. Lucie is not in Palm Beach County. Palm Beach Gardens is, so if you live in Port St. Lucie, you child cannot attend public or charter schools in Palm Beach County. Guest guest
Hi Terri, I am in Palm Beach but am not familiar with services out by Palm Beach Gardens. Your best bet might be to touch base with the Arc. They provide services in West Palm Beach and might be able to offer you more insight. And, they can also set you up with services themselves including recreational and respite. Their parent contact person would be and her contact info is: EMILY SANDQUIST AT (561) 842-3213 OR ESANDQUIST@... We also had opportunity to live in PSL but were also able to choose our present location – Royal Palm Beach. We have had a great experience here with our school and services (even thought the services are much more limited that where we came from). I would be happy to share them with you but they might be a bit far from Palm Beach Gardens. Hopfully The Arc can help you out – they have been a wonderful resource for me. Feel free to follow up with me if you have additional questions. Guest guest
Thank you for replying DAC, but that was not what I was asking. I said my husband had a job op in PSL and because I am NOT seeing anything good regarding Autism schools /social activities etc in Port St Lucie we are considering living elsewhere (ie NOT Port St Lucie) and commuting there.I was specifically enquiring about about anything From: Palm Beach Gardens to North of there.. all the way on up to Port St Lucie. If anyone has any positive input on ANY areas from Palm beach Gardens to Port St Lucie please respond. Anything South of PBG's seems impossibly challenging to do. Thank you!To: sList From: DAC@...Date: Thu, 23 Sep 2010 09:28:44 -0400Subject: Re: Palm Beach Gardens Q's Port St. Lucie is not in Palm Beach County.
