Guest guest
My 7 year old son just had his yearly checkup & his pediatrician wants him to take a protein supplement. The doctor said we should get a protein powder from Whole Foods, but when I went there I was told the protein powders they have are only for adults. Does anyone know of a protein supplement in powder form for children? I would really appreciate any help you can give me. Guest guest
The best protein powder for kids with autism is the Jay Robb Shakes. And they are a lot cheaper for the same thing at the Vitamin Shoppe or Tunies than at Wholefoods. It's gfcf, no aspartame, stevia rather than sugar and 25 mg. of protein in every scoop. Plus you can get egg protein instead of whey. These shakes are perfectly safe for kids...adjust the amount you give. Guest guest
I use Pea protein for my son. He is on a GFCF diet, and he is an extremely picky eater, so I have to find clever ways to hide the protein powder because it does not dissolve in beverages. This is what I do. I buy the KinnickKinnick Pancake and Waffle mix which is GFCF, and I add one cup of protein to the mix when I prepare the waffle mix. This way, he doesn't know it is in there, but each small pancake is infused with about 4 grams of protein. My son is only four years old so I try to get at least 15-20 grams of protein in him a day, so if I can get him to eat at least two small pancakes, that is about half of his daily protein intake. i hear Hemp protein powder is good as well, but I haven't tried it yet. Guest guest
Hello , There is a protein supplement that can be taken by newborns to whatever age; however, you cannot find it on shelves but you can order it. The dosage for children is ¼ teaspoon per each 2 pounds of body weight mixed with juice or water and drank immediately, not stored for later drinking. Please email me directly, for further information since I would need to send you an attachment and I don’t without authorization. Guest guest
, I always have trouble getting stuff into my son he is so picky about textures and how things smell and look. There is a bar I eat that you can get in publix or whole foods called Think Thin the peanut butter and chocolate is pretty good and it has 20 grams of protein. It is gluten free but not casien free. You could try and see if he likes it. Good luck. Protein supplement My 7 year old son just had his yearly checkup & his pediatrician wants him to take a protein supplement.
