Need help ASAP- ? for any advocate about 10 window to accept iep

First iep meeting was last Thursday. 10 days to accept

IEP will end this sunday (I did not sign

IEP because I wanted to have an advocate look at it before

I did). Because the 10th day falls on

A Sunday do I have until Monday to

Sign it and turn it in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are in Broward I am not aware there is a provision for a parent to

" accept' or " sign " an IEP. The only thing parents sign in Broward is an

attendance sheet.

When it comes to counting " days " a good rule of thumb is that if it benefits the

District its school days, if it benefits the parents its calender days.

As a parent you may request an IEP at any time, even as you walk out the door

from an IEP meeting.
