Hell all,I just wanted to introduce myself to the group and just drop a few lines on how I am starting to cope with this affliction. I will start off with a bit about me....My name is and I reside in Illinois and I am a recent divorcee. So far it has been a roller coaster of a ride ever since my divorce and now I have one more thing to add to the pile of things I have going on in my life. I am a full time student and I also work full time so I have a busy scheduale and sometimes it I find it very hard to make it through the day with in the last few months. I put out a few pics of myself so all of you can put a facwe with the writings and conversations. The reason why I am putting out this post is because I was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and well it really sucks to have to do this one on my own...people just don't understand how one person can be in so much pain with out explanation. I also have RA and I been doing a lot of reading on both subjects and I have come up with a bit of theory that may help some of you all. I noticed that there is a link (well with me there is) with a potassium deficiency. So I have set out to see what would happen and so far, it has been 4 days since i started this little routine in the morning to just eat a banana a day and so far it has had a great relief to the pain that I have had for the last couple months. The first day I noticed a slight improvement and I was able to sleep better and not to mention that I did not feel so lethargic. Day 2: I noticed a bigger difference, almost a calmer feeling through out my body and even more less of a pain. I was More awake and alert at the job with little to no hard times on concentrating on tasks. Also i took less pain relievers then I have been normally. I have been on pain pills for about 4 weeks and every 4 to 6 hours I had to pop more just as if I was popping m & m's. Day 3: Woke up as if I could take on the world....little to no pain and I only had to take pain relievers twice this day...mood has over all improved and this has been one of the best days since I started this little experiment on myself. I did notice that by the end of the day the aches and minor pains were moderate, but nothing I couldn't handle with a couple Tylenol's. Day 4: So far so good.... I small aches and pains, but over all still a good day. Now I know that this might not be for everyone but I did want to share all of this information with you and maybe it might help you. I think I am going to see I will fair for the rest of the week on the this simple plan....then next week i will stop the plan and see what happens. So far I have dis proven the theory an apple a day and replaced it with a banana a day. _________________________________________________________________ Connect and share in new ways with Windows Live. http://www.windowslive.com/share.html?ocid=TXT_TAGHM_Wave2_sharelife_012008
