Guest guest
Yes, if you think you have shingles or post pain from it, I highly recommend taking acyclovir, I take it religiously 400 mg 2x a day, it eliminates one source of pain and has helped me soo much. Guest guest
Hi: I have the constant burning, but no shingles. The burning started at 45 and I had chicken pox at 37. Guest guest
Oh my goodness, Sherri, you didn't have chicken pox until you were 37?!! I bet that was rough! I had a friend that developed it when he was about 35 and it scarred him so badly he thought he was gonna need plastic surgery on his face...thankfully, in time, the scars faded. I caught CP when I was 7 and I distinctively remember having some lesions in the vulvar area (OUCH). I wonder if it could be a cause for some women's vulvar pain later on (?). Take Care,Chelle I have the constant burning, but no shingles. The burning started at 45 and I had chicken pox at 37. Sherri
Guest guest
I got them from my daughter. My brother didn't get them until 37 either. How we both went all through public school in the city and never got them is a mystery to me. I had them much worse then my daughter. Guest guest
Sherri,That is exactly what I've heard, that it's much harder to have them when you are an adult. My friend got them from his kids, too. His son got them first, then two weeks later his daughter got them, and then two weeks later he got them! Do you 'think' that plays a role in your vulvar pain? Guest guest
Hi Chelle: No, I don't think it has anything to do with my vulvar pain. I don't even remember itching that bad down there. Mine started at 45 after several yeast infections. I also started being perimenopausal around that time and I think my problems are more hormone related. I have had a lot of success with the topical E & T cream.
