Guest guest
I think Kenyon sounds familiar. Like I said, none of us had cars, so if we went anywhere it was on a bus to the cities. Thanks for the thought on the snow. Maybe if you packed it in ice? - > > , > > If you dont mind answering, where in wis do you live? I grew up in > Duluth and am now living in Wis also! Guest guest
the town I lived in was just south of Northfield...Kenyon sound familiar? Zumbrota ,Zumbro Falls, sound familiar that is where I lived for a few years.....Id send snow to you but I think it would melt before it got there! I spent some time " hanging out " in Northfield while living down there! T Minnesoooda/Wiscaahnsin Laufie/ Pretty part of the world. I went to college in Northfield, Minnesota ( " home of cows, colleges, and contentment " ), about an hour south of " The Cities " . It seemed a lot farther, though, since none of us had cars. I banked where the -Younger Gang met its Waterloo. Still has bullet holes in the brick wall. Here in Santa Cruz, California, I miss the change of seasons (I know, poor, poor me). Yes, even the winter. Sometimes especially the Winter. I think it really helps to have that cold season when we spend more time indoors thinking and talking and being cozy (and maybe making babies?). I think it is rejuvenating, in the same way night is every day, and worship every week. A time to slow down and reconnect. And Autumn and Spring are lovely, too. Spring especially, after all that Winter (ooh, self contradictory here, but eventually Winter seems too long and you need to get out of the house). Summer is maybe a bit too hot, though nothing compared to Missouri, where I'm from originally. Anyway, saw your posts and it made me miss Minnesota. - > , > If you dont mind answering, where in wis do you live? I grew up in Duluth and am now living in Wis also! Guest guest
Hi , Glad to hear from you! It is amazing what a small world it is, isn't it?! One of my friends from college lives out in LA now and she, too, misses the change in seasons. I enjoy when it gets a little cooler out and can finally put away the shorts and put on some cozy sweaters and sweathshirts...It is just in January/Feb. that i'm ready to move!! By then I'm sick of the cold and snow. I guess you can't have it both ways! I don't have any snow to send you yet...we had some flurries last week, but it all melted. Take care, I'll talk to you later!! Steph >>> awebster@... 10/29/01 09:07PM >>> Laufie/ Pretty part of the world. Guest guest
, Where in Minnesota are you? I live in Eagan. Neither my hubby or myself want to leave the state, but we are getting a bit tired of the Twin Cities and being in the crowded metro. If we're close enough, maybe we could meet. hugs, anna-marie ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ ^A^ -Marie Rieffer mommy to angel Andras Audun sent to heaven June 14, 2001 Re: Minnesoooda/Wiscaahnsin i'm here in minnesota, the season changes are so wonderful. my hubby wants to move but i say NEVER! > > , > > If you dont mind answering, where in wis do you live? Guest guest
Jen, Oh what a small world! I lived just soutn of mnpls for 3 years just after college! And I have a relative, my mom cousin, Jim , works for the colleg uw river falls, I think he is like the dean or some big guy there (I dont know him well can you tell?) I lived in a small town called Kenyon, just east of Fairbault on 60 i think it is 60? And yess I loved Duluth as a kid but as an adult it was nice but too much trouble seemed to surround so many at the time? I understand it is better now thank goodness! I still have family there and visit quite often!!! T Re: Minnesoooda/Wiscaahnsin You must know where I live then!
