Guest guest
Hi, ladies! I was diagnosed with vestibulitis last month and gyn prescribed topical Estrace. Tried it and it burned like crazy. I was reading in some of the posts that some of you use alternate locations to apply the cream. I assume it would not be as effective if not applied directly? What are some of the alternate locations that have worked for you? Thanks in advance. Lara

Guest guest
Estrace has alcohol in it. You need to get some pure emu oil and mix it 3:1 ratio of emu oil to estrace. Apply directly to vaginal area twice daily. It may still hurt/burn for awhile, but it takes time for the estrogen in it to toughen up the tissue, which is what your goal is. Guest guest
OK I will get some emu oil and give it a try! Thanks for the specifics. Guest guest
Lara, I urge you to get some compounded estradiol in a less irritating base, many of us have had to. Applying the estrace to a different location won't really help, as we don't want it absorbed systemically but rather applied directly to affected areas that need the nourishment so much.
