I don't think there is much difference is there, only Lyrica is newer so

push push push. I was on Norontin for 2 yrs when only diagnoised with RSD, and

they had to keep up up up ing it, against my wishes, and after not liking it 3mo

into it wanted to come off but than had a different Dr and was told hang in

there, and let's see once it is in the system. Did not like how I felt, buzzed,

but yet hyper, and felt like I was taking a diuretic, and thought that was not

good, on the kidneys. Before I quite on my own I had seen another specialist,

can't remeber which kind, as I now know I had FM back then, was taking 850mg a

day, had they wanted to up me more, had bloodwork and was found my system had

the max it could have in my sytem for this drug. I can only say the Dr, I have

now seems to now what she is doing and after a couple mo's and sometimes only

wks once into my system if it doesn't work stops, and trys something different.

I hope if this Lyrica is not working

they will try something else, I don't like the side effects with that med

myself, and just because I feel my liver is not so good already reallly worry

when they spell that right out. Luck to all finding relief, ya right huh, I

have not just the edge of and that is not enough these days. Sharon

I've only been on lyrica for 4 weeks, and I really haven't noticed any

improvement. And I'm wondering what the difference is between lyrica and

gabapentin/neurontin. Both seizure meds, but lyrica is way more expensive co-pay

for me. I'm wondering too what's up?

per day and already it feels like I'm ready for an

increase. Something's not right here??? If it stops working like it did

in the beginning evry increase couldn't this be a sign of some kind?

The miracle is long gone!!! What do Drs. think? Oh let's just up thier

Lyrica and maybe they'll shut up! And Trigger point injections lasted a

week for me. I wake up at 2:00 A.M. in pain. My pain is now 24/7 and

I'm pissed! I get 4 Darvacet per day and 2 Hydrocodone per day but I

wake up in pain in the early A.M. and upon getting out of bed which is

5:30 to 6:30 A.M. everyday. Whatz up?

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some

treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain

health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be

afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation

better.

4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member

may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal

with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense

of humor.

5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let

us know so that we can do our best to offer our support.

Have a nice day everyone.
