Melisa,When you say the back portion of the vagina, are you referring to the posterior vaginal wall (internally). -- Or, do you have pain located in the 6 o'clock area of the vestibule (like several who have vestibulodynia)? I have a localized area of vestibulodynia, but my trigger area is located in the 4 o'clock position on the left side. Vestibulodynia is notorious for causing contact pain, especially from sitting or tight clothing. As for the perineum, old episiotomy scar tissue can cause pain in that area. I don't have perineal pain, but I can feel scar tissue in that area from childbirth (two episitomies). As for PN, I have it. It seems to cause individual symptoms - just depends on where the PN is being compressed. Have you found a doc yet? There is a PN doc in Arizona

named Hibner. Ken Renney in Texas also works with PN patients. Have you tried PT? Hang in there,ChelleI have sat on copy paper spaced apart (so nothing touches my vagina)and I am amazed.. or am I... it does not hurt hardly at all. I havePANTS on today and it is still not burning like usual. It has to becontact pressure. I found a picture this AM of Vestbulitis and minelooks just like that at time, very red and angry in the back portionof the vagina. There is speculation out there that an epsiotomy scan can contriute.
