Guest guest
Lee Ann, I never checked my PH and I don't know how to equalize it but if you drink more water that might dilute it. Your post really struck a chord with me. Because when I had Vestibulitis I had oversensitized nerve endings in the Vestibule. If I drank Cranberry Juice or took vitamins or did something to give me acidic urine it would burn like fire, just the way you describe. I was completely *unable* to use Estrace or Lidocaine or any sort of chemical there. Because of my screwed up nerves, the fire would continue to burn for days! It was a nightmare. The only thing that fixed that was my surgery. Sorry to report. Maybe others have better advice. I had a piece of skin removed in the shape of a doughnut. It was the entire Vestibule. It contained all these horrible nerve endings. After that I was able to have acid urine or put chemical compounds such as Estrace and Lidocaine. It was like magic. Maybe you could figure out what gave you the acidic urine in the first place and avoid it? > > Any of you who have burning ever check your PH level? I feel like I am on fire and I tested 5.5 this morning. What do you do to get the PH up? >
Guest guest
There are many diets which balance pH (and eliminate yeast and other illness at the same time, since most diseases cannot survive in alkaline environments - disease thrives on acidic blood/bodily fluids). These are diets like Body Ecology and GAPS, as well as some raw food diets (which I don't recommend long term but can be useful for a time for healing). Guest guest
If you have acidic urine it means that your body is getting rid of acids via the urine. This results in more alkalinity in your blood and tissues. And that is good. Guest guest
I should have said it is good for your body alkalinity but not necessarily good for your vulva which could be reacting to the acid urine. Urine ph is not at all the same as body ph. It is best to eat a diet which balances the acid and alkaline producing foods so that neither becomes excessive. If your urine is too alkaline that means that your body could become too acidic resulting in acidosis. however that does not happen in healthy individuals because of built-in safeguards. Acid-Forming Foods alcohol asparagus beans Brussels sprouts catsup chickpeas cocoa coffee cornstarch eggs fish pepper poultry sauerkraut shellfish flour products legumes lentils meat milk mustard noodles oatmeal olives organ meats pasta soft drinks sugar tea Low-Level Acid-Forming Foods butter cheeses coconuts (dried) fruits (canned/glazed) fruits (dried sulfured) grains (most) ice cream ice milk (homemade) lambsquarter seeds and nuts (most) Alkaline-Forming Foods apricots avocados corn dates fruits grapefruit grapes honey lemons maple syrup melons millet molasses oranges raisins soy figs vegetables Low-Level Alkaline-Forming Foods almonds blackstrap molasses Brazil nuts buckwheat chestnuts coconuts (fresh) dairy products, soured lima beans millet Prunes, cranberries, and plums are acid forming and remain acidic in the body. Raw fruits become acid forming when sugar is added. All foods with added sugar become acidic. Alcohol, drugs, aspirin, tobacco, and vinegar are also acid forming.
