I am just in process of waiting for SSD, got denied for SSI have a auto

worth more than 3,000. SSD will give me more a mo. anyway and doesn't matter

what you own. I hate to discourage you but once you have been denied, and

reapply with lawyer can still take 3yrs hopefully 2yrs but from what I hear no

less than that. I am beside myself for income, as I know I can not take on a

scheduled shift anywhere, I would have to work from home, or on my own terms,

never know when I can't get up in the a.m. Good Luck and your atty should give

u a answer to time frame, but believe at least 2yrs. Sharon

I applied over 2 years ago and am still waiting for a hearing. I was

told it would be another year at least! in Michigan

I am not getting SSI yet, but am on Workmans comp. I am scared as you are if

SSI will accept me. What will I do if they do not. I feel the same way about

working. I know I couldn't do a good job. The responsibilities of work and 5

kids is overwhelming for me. I just now am coming to terms with it and voicing

reality. It was hard though, as I was embarassed that i am only 36 and feel

disabled in my own body. I wish you the best of luch, and I hope to hear from
