Guest guest
had his PTC Friday. The surgeon who did the procedure said his bile ducts show no signs of blockage and they actually look really good. We will do a follow-up with the Transplant team. How do you know if it is reoccur acne of PSC? Is that what the scarring on the liver would suggest even though his bile ducts are fine? Thanks so much for the support. Tim Romlein wrote: I had a PTC four and a half years after my first transplant. I had been diagnosed with recurrent PSC at that point and needed to get some internal strictures opened up. Bile was drained externally for about a week and then the tube was capped off and changed regularly for the next four years. The liver biopsy suggests rPSC as a possibility, but it may also be a problem at the junction of the bile ducts and the roux-en-y loop. Be patient and wait for the results, then do what you have to. > > > > > My husband is one year post liver transplant. ...
