Guest guest
My former GI told me that I would be listed for transplant and I began to cry. I wasn't wailing -- I simply had tears rolling down my cheeks. He wanted to put me on tranquilizers, but I opted to see a psychologist I knew instead. I told her about the diagnosis and she said that my reaction was 'normal." She said that she would be very worried about me if I had not reacted to the news. I think that there are ranges of reaction and different ways of coping, but you'd have to made of stone not to be concerned. Penny
Guest guest
I had a similar reaction when I heard about the PSC. I just sat there kind of stunned, scared, and reliefed at the same time. I was happy that they had a name for what was wrong but upset by it too. I just had tears too, not wailing. I haven't been listed yet though so we'll see what happens then. :-)
