It mandates that they do not deny coverage by using the excuse of "nonrehabilitive" I would suggest two things. If your son won't go anywhere near the 36000 you could appeal. Also, the United Health Foundation has a 5,000 grant you could qualify for. Cigna only pays for speech therapy when there is a cleft pallet.. I commend you for reading the policy, so many of my clients don't. I work with individuals and small groups up to 50, but if you want me to look something over for you I'd be happy to.
