I know many parents in your situation. It is ridiculous. It is sad. And I hope

someone out there sues Medicaid for not providing behavioral services. They

provide counseling which is great if you have a typical kid that is going

through a trauma or loss or have a mood disorder and can benefit from talk

therapy. But a large number of our kids, who may be nonverbal or minimally

verbal or are not able to talk about how they feel, even if they are verbal, do

not benefit from cognitive therapy. What they need is behavior therapy, yet in

Broward, at least, I have looked high and low and not found a provider that

takes CMS Title 19. That is a shame.

Go back to title 21, you will not get ABA covered with title 19.

I just got converted from CMS tiltle 21 to tiltle 19. The only 2 major aba services that i use do not accept tiltle 19. I have chosen cms as my provider for tiltle 19. It is strange that they say that you have no income, so we will give medicaid but at the same time expect me to pay 1000$ a month for ABA.

Does anyone know of a therapist who accepts tiltle 19. Is there anyway of getting ABA services for my 4 yr old boy. please help!
