Guest guest
Hi Listmates: With the new health reform the companies can not limit any pre- existing for children under 19. That would effect any policy written after 9/23/10 and for group policies after the next renewal date. So for that United Healthcare group policy after it's renewal (most likely 1/1 but call to ask) they won't be able to limit speech to 20 visits. The Autism law allowed the limitation, the reform supersedes the bill. Regards, Jayne
Guest guest
What about individual policies? Will these same rules apply individual policies after renewal? Guest guest
hi. I was on the phone with united health last week and was told that my autistic 3 year old can not go on policy by herself due to the under 19 years old policy. I was told that in order for her to switch insurance policies, a parent must join with her as a dependent. Hope this helps and please reply if I am wrong. I am looking for loopholes in this.
