Guest guest
I really appreciate everyone trying to help - it really is good to know there are people who you can talk to about all these issues. Just spoke with my doctor on the phone and she confirmed what the pharmacist told me yesterday - the insurance company can't just cut you off. There is a State run agency who oversees all this and she said they could possibly be doing something on the illegal side - also told me to write to my legislator and gave me a number of other sources to contact and complain. I know I'm not the only one this is happening to. I'm sure there will be more news regarding this. I most likely will write some letters and contact a few organizations - but first I need to figure out today's problem which is switching over from the Effexor to the Cymbalta. One thing at a time I guess. So I'm going to buy a few Effexor's (15 to be exact) out of my own pocket which still will run me about $78 and am getting samples of the Cymbalta so I can do the weaning down process. So that will work for the time being. And that they can supply me with samples of the Cymbalta for a good while. When they can't anymore - well, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I find I can't take on all my problems all at once - which is what I tend to try and do - fix everything at once. So at least I'm thinking a little better today and am only dealing with one thing at a time. Even though it took 2 days of melting - somebody is looking out for me because an answer (sort of) has come. And I really, really appreciate all of you. It is usually amazing how fast they can get their staff to take care of a problem!!! --- You know, they want your vote and the more they help you, their constituent, the more likely you might be to vote for them!!! We learned how to use the state legislators especially while my husband was working at one historic site and then was transferred to another. He started the new job in April, we found an apartment in May? And at the end of July we closed on a house. The couple who had a shop that was attached to our house, had the key so that if and when a moving company would get there to give a bid on moving us, my husband's former boss saw the moving truck and thought they were there to begin the move. When she found the neighbor's adult son working and giving the key to the individual from the moving company, she took OUR key away from him and then decided to take a walk through of our messy house! She then went back to office and was having so much fun because she had left an empty soda can somewhere so that we would know she had been the house. (we actually were living on the grounds and the state was paying for our move!) Well, we made a very unexpected and very fast trip from one end of this state to the other to see if we could get a mover to come and submit an estimate. No such luck!! By October, I was buying new clothes as it was getting cold and one of the people I worked with overheard me say I should call the legislator's office and said " Do it! " Since we knew the state rep and the state senator for that district, I called the rep's office and asked if the rep was in and if so would she go in and tell him that the Castle's wanted to know WHERE THEIR FURNITURE WAS!! Fortunately, the rep was in his office having a meeting with the state senator! My husband got a call from someone in the main office of his department who said " we didn't know you knew so many people in high places!!! " The moving company was there the next week and we had all of our furniture and clothes!!! So, they will do what they can to help you --- the aide may do the leg work, but that's the best thing to do. I even send letters to guys in Washington who don't let you email them unless you ave a zipcode in their district. So GO FOR IT!!
