Guest guest
I am just compelled to have to answer to this Homelessness, I have learned after living way back here in Maine, which I get picked on alot by people I know, as I am from Ma.orig. but I feel someone somewhere always has something to say of each state. But anyway, here I am in Me. and I have neer seen a State take care of the needy so quickly, and with everything they have to avoid this happening. They have put people in homes here, who have been, at this point, they are moble homes, but still a home, my husband tells me that it has always been this way, they do not want to see anyone homeless, they have places to provide furniture, emergency funding, in each town that will help pay your bills if you fall short. I do belive this should happen everywhere as these are avail to people of all income making levels if they happen to run into trouble at some point, not like having to pass some guidelines with gov. help. My husband makes a fantastic paycheck 4/-11, and after that income drops way down, we don't carry health insurance, and if we were to need gov help at any given time due to a catasrtophi, an accident, they would turn us down because of our w-2's the yr before. This is when I think I guess it is not so bad way up here in Maine. I hope something comes through you should not have to worry about this! Will keep a prayer out for you Sharon debra van ness wrote: Cindy Lou, what a load to bear. I am sorry about your husband honey. Also hate to hear of the low calcium levels. I have learned here that low vitamin D levels are common in fibro and it makes sense that calcium might fall low also being the fact that calcium needs vitamin D to be absorbed. Make sure and take the supplements. And the fear of homelessness, that is really sad. I hate it that this world overlooks the very people that need help the most. You are ill, your husband died, and you should be able to get every government assistance out there. But it sucks that sometimes it takes forever to prove disability or the need for other help out there. My heart is with you, love and hugs, Debra V. Cindy Lou wrote: Hi all.. First of all, thank you to all who emailed me in support and prayer. It helped a lot. Now, here is the deal.. My calcium is life threateningly low. Below 5! They know that my having had Gastric Bypass surgery can be part of the cause but not normally THIS low. I am to TRY to relax - seizures are a possibility - and if that occurs to go immediately to the ER. He asked me if I had any twitching/spasms and I told him I did but I thought it was just a side effect of meds. My face twitches all the time. I am on a high dose of calcium, they are going to run more blood tests to try to see WHY my calcium is so low, and check me in 2 weeks again. I am going through a LOT of stress right now, in financial trouble (nearly homeless) on welfare and food stamps, and I am supposed to RELAX and NOT WORRY! I have to laugh. I did get ONE good call. Local friends who are Masons found out about my husband dying and my problems and want to help me a little with funds. Anything is a blessing. Thank you all again for the prayers and support. Keep it up. I will let you know how I am doing. In Friendship, Cindy Lou ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (\__/) (='.'=) " I used to be inept but, with practice, I became ept.
