RE Endorsement for Governor for the future for our kids....... Sink

It is clear that the future of our children with a developmental disability hinges upon the next election for Governor. It is clear that parents in our network on the waiting list must become involved in the political process if we want to have a voice. It is clear that 20,000 families on the Medicaid Waiver waiting list have been ignored in Florida, at all levels of government. It is clear that many of our families are on the brink of giving up their children. It is clear that we need new leadership in Tallahassee with a commitment for all people with a developmental disability.

It is a clear choice.........Vote for Sink for Governor.

Sink is aware of the issues affecting people with a developmental disability. She has made a commitment to look at the underpinning issues which have created the waiting lists and underfunded DD programs. She has promised to make real changes in Tallahassee to benefit all people with developmental disabilities. She will be responsive to our pleas. She will fight for us in the budget process. She will make appointments to positions that will make a real difference for all of us.

Ms. Sink is a leader with quiet strength, courage and compassion. It is about time we had an elected official in Florida who is in our corner. We cannot win our fight to eliminate waiting lists alone. Ms. Sink cannot win her election alone. Divided and silenced we are weak. United with a voice we can prevail. It is our turn to step up and be counted. Vote for Sink for Governor for the sake of Florida and the sake of our kids.
