Was this not the post? Someone mentioned there mother mailing them there

pills? I am the guilty one, then of sending off a alert. I know the laws, I

work in the health field and know shame on me if I were to even help out my

neighbor and give them an asprin if they begged for it, as if they had anything

go wrong, and died, became deathly ill, it is my b-tt going down! So No

misconduct I don't think to worry about going on here. As I clearly commented,

while I was out in Ca, for the winter last yr, awaiting a g.child, my pre set

arrangements with pharmacy, Dr. etc on to get my refills while there FAILED, and

I was to be without ANY med's. I thought I was in big trouble when it was the

PHARMICIST who gave me options, find a dr. out in Ca. to see while on extended

trip, or have them mailed by family or friend. Now the red flag came up on me

and thought this can't be done unless it is a mail order RX plan I am on, he

reassured me, my Dr, backed it up. Since then I

have traveling between 2 states, use to be quite regularly I left a RX at my

mom's and this was the same thing suggested again, and as far as I researched as

I don't break the law, and would not chance losing my licesence's or anything

else, have not broken any as long as it is mailed to the person who they belong

to shipped c/o and we recieve. This I am wrong on? Why does everything have

to have so many different answers. How does one get there med's if they travel

and state will not fill, other than this method. Because Ca. WILL not except

any other states written perscription on any type of RX, they just will and can

not reconize them at Pharmicies. SO anyone who hopefully get's to feeling well

enough for a trip and head that way, they told me make sure next time your Dr.

will have ON YOUR BOTTLES how ever many refills you will need while away from

home. I was gone 5 mo's and that is alot of refills to put on my pain meds,

which I don't think my Dr, would go for,

as I am on a call in basis now.. So it is the mail route for me until ????? I

am arrested. Take Care all and sorry to get the post all fired up. It was

totally me, and have to go back now and find out what and where I went wrong to

cause it?? Sharon

medication is available ONLY by prescription and you want to give it to someone

else that may be on that same drug, it is best to discuss that privately, not

directly in the group. There are laws, both federal and state, that prohibit

someone from giving another person their prescription. The DEA has the laws on

their website at http://www.usdoj.gov/dea. Click on the Controlled Substances

Act under Drug Policy and the Diversion Control. The penalties are also listed.

You can even be arrested for drug trafficking for shipping drugs to people that

were not prescribed to them unless you are licensed federally to ship

prescription drugs, which usually only pharmeceutical companies and pharmacies

can do.

I'm guilty of giving my fiance a Lortab every now and then.

My job involves dealing with law enforcement on ALL levels, municipal, state and

Federal so I do have knowledge on this topic.

Just wanted to throw this out there.

Hi Sharon,

You didn't do anything wrong. Prescriptions that are in your name can be

mailed to you. My pharmacist, who I asked when I was there today, said that if

you are in a place that won't refill your prescriptions, then they can be mailed

to you. The pharmacy or your doctor can do it, but most won't because it's too

much trouble, but will give to a family member or someone else to mail to you.

Anybody can pick up your prescriptions for you in Connecticut at least. I have

friends pick up my prescriptions all the time.

You are not in conflict with the drug enforcement laws as long as they are being

mailed to the person the perscription is for, and that is what you were talking

about.

I don't know if someone misunderstood what you were talking about or not.

Someone said something about mailing what was left of their perscription to

someone else who takes that med. Thet is illegal. But to my knowledge you

weren't talking about that.

Keep posting those posts,

Marti

No Sharon, it wasn't you. Someone else mentioned sending some Effexor to Teri

in WI. Heck, I had a whole bottle of 75 mg. tablets that I just flushed a

couple weeks ago. was just reminding us that talking about doing things

that are illegal can be risky online in a public group like this.
