Hi to all,

I've seen them in CT!! All sorts of pretty colors (purple, too!) and patterns

for wheelchairs, walkers, canes, more. I don't know if they're custom made, but

they're beautiful.

I hope you can find them. Suggestion would be to ask if they make them

wherever you are, and of course see if it costs extra if your on a budget.

Good luck!!

I would love purple crutch pads, or even a cane that

is a decent pretty color that I want and not what the

manufactures think. So I totally agree with you.

It seems as if anytime we are out shopping in an offbeat store ---

even museums, craft fairs, I am always searching for just the right

cane. I saw one about 10 years ago that I told my husband was just

what I wanted for a birthday --- since I was collecting anything in

the form of a rabbit, painting, etc., this cane would have been

perfect for me as the handle was a lucite rabbit. I don't know if he

just didn't realize how much one my help me or not --- but as I get

older, there are times when I need one and now I keep at least one if

not two in my suv. Oh, and there is another source for hand carved

canes and that is in folk art stores. some of those can be very

interesting. I have one that I thought would be good --- it's from

the Kentucky tobacco growing area and is made from a wooden slat that

was used in either drying tobacco or some other use. It might be

good if I were doing one of the walking with tall poles, but I

discovered it is too tall for me to use on a daily basis.

And I have also send acrylic ones that are multite colored.
