Guest guest
Hello All, I feel the need to spread the warning to all about this school. If you have a child with special needs RUN do not walk to find another school. If this is your home school use the McKay for reassignment. This will include transportation. My reasons Since 2005 according to Broward County Schools web site they have been planning on becoming compliant with an ADA accessible bathroom for students. My son has been there for 21/2 years and the bathroom will NOT be in place until 2013. The administration there will lie to your face. Make sure ALL your dealings are in writing. Tape record ALL your meetings. I do not want any other child DAMAGED by this school. Thank you Terry

Guest guest
It means that the bathroom has to have disability/wheelchair access/accommodation with wider doors, wheelchair stall, grab bars, lower sink, lever or easier access faucets. ADA is the the American Disabilities Act. Even though they may make a bathroom more accessible, sometimes the so called wider stall is actually harder for the w/c to make a turn to get into or its at the very back of a bathroom. Many companies have been sued due to their non-compliance with having ADA accommodations.
