Guest guest
Cheryl I promise the flying part do what I did and you won't even care. Take 1 dramimine a couple hrs before, and 1 and hour before boarding, make sure not the non drowzy!, and if u don't have diazapam or one of them call Dr. tomm. and tell them u need some for trip. If by the time u start boarding the plane, u don't feel at ease take 1 of these, u will surley be at ease by the time u leave. Now we don't need you to get yourself in a big panick attack and get sick before you get to your mom. I think you should call the police to locate this girl and get some answers, as this in my eyes and knowledge falls under elder abuse! She needs to answer to her action or lack of. Do you know her well? Was she there through an agency, or privately? Sounds like your mom may of had some what of a stroke, but could be the fall has got her disorientated. Boy! Anyway try and get rest before you go, I know you probably want to clock me over the head with that comment, but getting worked up over the flight will only add to your already anxiety of what happened to your mom, try not and think of the plane until u are there facing it, believe me I am you on this, I said never would I fly, had given my wings up back in 1983! Take Care and keep in touch Sharon Cheryl Deacon wrote: Sharon, I am leaving on Monday,I will get in San Diego,Monday night.I am flying from Columbus,Oh. when I talked to my Mom,she didnt know who she was talking to most of time, the Dr. thinks she also might have a stroke. They dont know yet everything what happened,or how much damage there is yet,the Dr. wont send her home until I get there,he was asking me questions, and telling me things, but not telling me at the same time if you know what I mean,he asked if I could come out there,he wasnt going to send her home with the aid.He would not say why. So that told me that he didnt trust the aid.Now nobody can get a hold of the aid to ask her any questions,so they dont know what actually happened to my Mom.I am so scared of flying, and I am so scared of what has happened to my Mom. Thank you for your kind words. God Bless you. Cheryl sharon studley wrote: Wow, so sorry to hear that you must be freaking out! Let me tell u though I am the scardiest of scared to fly. My daughter and only g.children live in Ca. I drove across country with my husband for both births. But last winter for unexpected reason had to fly home. I panicked, and thought I could not do it. I had flown way back. As I use to live out there. Anyway let me tell you, I don't know where you live or are flying from I am in Maine, and it is a long flight, but I went Jet Blue and have been sold! they have put my fear at ease. Since I have flown out there x2 will not go any other airline though, and even was ok with the stop on the way, I hate that. Now I do take dramamine, and have diazapam on hand just in case I get panicked once on runway, I hate take off. The first has worked usually by runway I am just about asleep and probably drooling! Now for your mom. I would kick that son of a gun lazy aide right in her a--! I am tired of these family's having this happen. I know, I have been a caregier all my life, I have picked up the peices of many a person like her, NO ONE should get hurt, while under the care of someone who is suppose to be there to care for them unless it is unpreventable! Last winter while I spent it out there in Ca. NOV-March awaiting my g.childs birth, I took on a job ending up being from 8a-730p once I got the woman washed up after dinner, ready and in bed safe and asleep. This woman lived in a Alzhimer unit of a gorgeous looking new facility! Her family was paying them for a private room, which her care was suppose to be part of it, they sought outside help once they caught there dear mother on the floor in her room , bathroom, or hallway not knowing how long she had been therel luckily she had never broke her hip but had been badly bruised. While I took care, of all this woman's needs, it maddened me every day that I had to be there, that the family had to pay them and me, and I watched almost every aide during meal time stuff there faces, talk about last night, how much they drank, fights with boyfriends, etc etc. I also watched the other patients sit in front of there meals while this went on not eating at all because they had no clue what to do, try and eat but miss each time and give up, and I saved a woman I don't know how many times from tearing the skin right off her leg while falling through the leg rests on her wheel chair!!!! I was trained yrs and yrs ago. I belive every one of these lazy uncaring selfish people need to be cained! I am so sorry this has happened to your poor mother. You are right to do what ever it takes to put this person out of work for life. How can she take advantage of a elderly person, you and her job, that is stealing in my book she was there to do a job and did not do it yet pretending she was. Please let me know you make your plane trip ok and I hope your mom will recover. Another needless injury by at the hands of an imposter. My prayers and thoughts will be with you Sharon Cheryl Deacon wrote: Good Evening Everyone, Well I guess I am going back to Cal. My Mom who was only a few days,is back in the hosptail, has fallen again, she has aid at the house, and yesterday when I finally got someone to answer the phone,My Mom tells me that just barely got her breakfast, because her aid had not gotten out of bed until noon. Well,i guess this Morning she tried to do it herself, well she fell, and ended up at Scripps La Holla Hosptail, in the heart unit, they were doing head scans on her. If I hadnt call the police to do a welfare check on her,i never would have found out.The police even gave me the phone number to the hosptail, they were so helpful. Now,I am flying back there on Monday, and I am so afraid to fly,I ask that you all keep me in your prayers. And my mom too. I will keep you all informed of what happens, all I know at this point, the aid has got some explaining to do,and it better be good.I am having her removed as my Mom's aid,and bringing her up on charges, see I warned her twice about taking care of my Mom.Well she didnt listen, now it is time to pay the piper. Thanks Cheryl Just Being Me --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
