Guest guest
Marti I can not believe it, you also fly planes! That is amazing. You truly. are the daredevil.. Do you still fly when you are feeling better? Hope to find you feeling on the better then worst side. It is freezing here and waiting another Nor easter with 10 inches. Hope Ct is kinder to you all there. Take Care of yourself. Sharon in ME. Marti Boguski wrote: Hi Cheryl, What you Mom has had to go through is just horendous. It is so terrible that these young men and women take a job to care for someone, who needs constant care, and just don't do there job. It's hard to believe that people like that are in this world, but I know all too well that they are. What a good idea to call the police. They sounded very helpful. I so hope your mom is OK and that the tests come back fine. I'm sorry that you are afraid of flying. I've been a dare devil all my life and not only love to fly, but get exilerated when the plane is taking off and landing. I know that I am unusual in liking that, but I fly myself and have flown in all sorts of conditions, even instuments only, and it just makes it more fun. I know there are many out there who are afaid of flying and I really feel for you. I wish you could enjoy it like I do, but know that is not possible for a lot of people. My daughter is deathly afraid of flying. She gets a window seat and turns her head toward the window and just sobs. She has to travel some for work, not flying is not an option. I have talked her into getting her doctor to give her a Xanax or Valium to take before she gets on the plane next time so she might not have the paralizing fear. I think that's a good idea for anyone who is afraid of flying. Luckily my son likes to fly with me, but on one trip to Nantucket (about 20 min from Hyannis on the Cape) it was very overcast and I had to fly instruments only, which worked out fine and didn't bother either of us We were going to my daughter Liz's wedding and so my daughter Andi was already there. Most people took the ferry; I hate ferries. It talkes over an hour and 1/2. So boring. Anyway Andi found out what and I had done and yelled at me " I can't contol your being crazy and flyng in these conditions but don't you ever take my brother with you again. " I was a little put off by her tone (since she was 27), but got over it quickly because I know she was just afraid for her brother. This was in 2000 when both my daughters got married, Liz in May and Andi in October. What a fun year! Sorry I got side tracked. I do have AADD and it makes me wander from subject to subject. My prayers will be with you and your mom and with your having a very safe, uneventful flight. I hope you are able to get all of this straightened out for the best. It must be hard having to take care of all of this when you live far away. Blessed be, Marti Cheryl Deacon wrote: Good Evening Everyone, Well I guess I am going back to Cal. My Mom who was only a few days,is back in the hosptail, has fallen again, she has aid at the house, and yesterday when I finally got someone to answer the phone,My Mom tells me that just barely got her breakfast, because her aid had not gotten out of bed until noon. Well,i guess this Morning she tried to do it herself, well she fell, and ended up at Scripps La Holla Hosptail, in the heart unit, they were doing head scans on her. If I hadnt call the police to do a welfare check on her,i never would have found out.The police even gave me the phone number to the hosptail, they were so helpful. Now,I am flying back there on Monday, and I am so afraid to fly,I ask that you all keep me in your prayers. And my mom too. I will keep you all informed of what happens, all I know at this point, the aid has got some explaining to do,and it better be good.I am having her removed as my Mom's aid,and bringing her up on charges, see I warned her twice about taking care of my Mom.Well she didnt listen, now it is time to pay the piper. Thanks Cheryl Just Being Me --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
