Guest guest
Thank you for the welcome Jeanne. I did notice there is another Angie here. The doctor that diagnosed me called it Arthralgia. When she told me about it, I thought great. It's not enought to have Arthritis. I have to have something else to go along with it. Re: New to group Hi Angie - Welcome to the FaMily. Never heard of combing arthritis with FM to call it Arthralgia. I think almost all of us have some arthritis especially when we get older along with our FM. I hope you find it comforting to be in our group and realize that there are many, many people just like you who also suffer every day. Take care. BTW, we have another Angie, so you might want to use a last initial or your location so we can tell you apart. Jeanne in WI Hi. My name is Angie. I was diagnosed with arthralgia (arthritis and fibromyalgia) 10 years ago. It got really bad 6 years ago and I had to quit working. I then found out I had lupus and chronic fatiuge. I also suffer severe recurring depression. I feel that if the pain and fatigue were gone, I wouldn't have depression. I am currently going to a group for moods. It helps me with solutions for dealing with my moods and helps me get out of the house.
Guest guest
I looked up the definition of Arthralgia and it is really not a combination of fibromyalgia and arthritis. According to the medical dictionary arthralgia means: Pain in the joints. There are many possible causes of pain in a joint. The Greek " algos " means " pain. " Fibromyalgia pain is more located in the muscles. N.
Guest guest
So it sounds like a fancy name for arthritis, or maybe a more constant joint pain than an arthritis that comes and goes? Just another term to confuse us all. LOL! Jeanne in WI I looked up the definition of Arthralgia and it is really not a combination of fibromyalgia and arthritis.
