Guest guest
To Lori (and !) 2/3/2005 From the archives of 2005: Message: 68354 From: M Received: Thu Feb 03, 2005 5:15 AM Subject: Request for prayers Lori's MELD has risen to 27, and they have found a matching liver. She will undergo a liver transplant beginning around 8AM. Lori is very scared right now and I'm shaking so much I can hardly type this message. And two days later: Things have been quite boring :-) but isn't that the way you want it? Lori's vital signs have been good and constant through the last two days, actually 54 hours now. Lori is still asleep but does respond to questions by nodding her head. She is trying hard to open her eyes. I can't wait for tomorrow when she wakes up and I can tell her everything that has happened. They actually peformed 3 liver transplants on Thursday/Friday (the 3rd one started Thursday night and was completed Friday morning). The other two have required additional surgeries and close monitoring so they moved Lori to a different room in ICU where it would be quiter and easier on her when she does wake up.
