Guest guest
I am having a push enteroscopy tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if they are much different than having a regular endoscopy ? I know they use a longer scope to see more of (maybe the entire ?) small bowel and that I have to have a stronger conscious sedation so I don't 'fight them' when they do the procedure. I had a capsule endoscopy a while ago that showed polyps or ? in my small bowel and my new GI dr is highly suspicious of crohn's for me. I have had problems with GI bleeding- have very low iron, ferretin, hemoglobin...(My son is the one with PSC) What exactly are they looking for to say definitively if I have crohn's ? biopsies ? thanks in advance Lori lucky mom blessed with wonderfully wild triplets
