Guest guest
Hi all, Just wanted to put the info out here about a Patient Support Program I found out about through my boyfriend's mom (who's a nurse in the transplant ward of Rush in Chicago.) It's called AXCAN, and basically you qualify if you have no prescription drug coverage and have a total income below the Federal Poverty level (I qualify being a recent college grad looking for a FT job, only working PT, and no longer covered under my parents' health insurance.) Urso Forte is one of the drugs this program covers. I'm currently taking 1000mg daily. On this program, the monthly cost for my Urso Forte is only $2 (normally $800.) Before I was enrolled in AXCAN I was taking 900mg of Ursodiol daily. All I had to do was get the " ok " to up my dosage 100mg and get a new prescription for Urso Forte from my hepetologist. I just started on the program a month ago and so far it's been great getting the Urso for only $2!! On the website it only really talks about a drug called Ultrase for patients with CF, but Urso Forte IS one of the drugs covered in the program. Here's the website: http://www.axcan.com/costreduction.php?lang=1 Thought I'd share for any of you that may be in the same boat as I as far as health coverage.
