Guest guest
Hi , It’s called “cola colored” urine and it can stay that way for a long time or move back and forth from cola to yellow. The yellow in your eyes depends solely on your Bilirubin level. It can be just small patches, solid yellow, both or back to white. Think of your urine and the whites of your eyes like old fashion “PSC mood rings” changing colors to suit itself. The colors don’t hurt you, they just are markers that something is going on. Guest guest
I have had the same situation with my eyes with the results being directly related to the bili as well. My eyes have been so bad that I have been accused of looking like an OOmpa, Loompa. Most times I get the yellowing on the outside edges. One thing that does bother me is they are bloodshot 24/7 for the last couple of years. Eye drops do nothing. Even the eye doctor said it was probably related to the PSC and the only way to clear it up is to solve the underlying problem. Public presentations are part of my job. I am going in front of 15 people on Monday. I have had questions in the past. How do you handle it? I had a pretty bad attack last week (out of state), but my LFTs were all within normal ranges except for one. I have been having some pain issues on and off. It has been getting progressively worse. You look stoned even though you are stone cold sober. I don't advertise that I am sick. I am leaving on a Disney cruise for 7 days in a couple weeks. Would you contact the Transplant Center and rush an ERCP or just grin and bear it with plenty of pills along? Oh, and my doctor classified me with sever depression and switched me to wellbutrin and doubled the dosage. Great week so far. in Minnesota PSC 2006, Factor V Leiden I didn't mean to hijack this thread, sorry if I did.
Guest guest
My usual response was that there's a problem with my bile ducts being too narrow, and they're working on it. If you need an ERCP, you need one. Even when I felt fine, I took a cache of Cipro and all my records along when I was traveling (I still do that!). Guest guest
I agree with Arne. I carry a Reader's Digest type health history with records of my doctors names, meds., allergies and recent labs when I travel. Even if I never need them, it's reassuring that I have them in an emergency. I also carry any med. I might need with extras in case weather delays us. Penny ..
