Guest guest
Self-funded insurance rarely covers ABA. I have a self-funded insurance policy through my husbands employer but they have opted to cover autism related therapies such as ABA however this is rare. United Health care has been covering ABA for my friend so you might try that. CMS 21 covers ABA. Most ABA providers take insurance now (although that was not the case just a few years ago) so you will need to find a therapist that is an in-network provider for you particular insurance company. Who is you insurance through? Why is the school requiring you to get ABA? Is it a public or private school? Re: DAN Docter Dear Group: I used to take my son to the Dan Marino, but they were nasty in most cases. After I while I felt like I was wasting my time and money. When my son went in to see "Dr. Opal" she asked my son questions and was shocked that he didn't want to answer her questions...this coming from a doctor specializing in autism...how shocking...he doesn't want to speak??? They never recommended that Ari should do bloodwork or anything...They were not very helpful, but were great at taking my money. Now we are under the care of Dr. Clayman. He has prescribed a lot of vitamin supplements. I haven't seen any improvement. Anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks, Sandy
Guest guest
I know Cigna and Aetna cover ABA/Verbal Behavior therapy services. I would recommned you find an ABA that you trust and have him contact the insurance company. Or the insurance may refer one to you. If you need further assistance, my contacts are below.
