Guest guest
This is probably a strange question to ask but here goes. I had my transplant over 16 years ago at Mayo and everything is going along great. One of my biggest concerns is that I'm beginning to look a lot older than I feel~~maybe from being sick for so long. Anyway I'm tempted to try something to fill in the deep lines on my face; Juvaderm or Radiesse. But of course, I don't want to do anything that would jepardize my health, and since I'm immunosuppressed, I'm wondering if the tissue fillers would cause any problems. Anyone tried it? Thanks trees
Guest guest
I had this injected into my knee joint 4 years ago. It really worked. But I don't know about being on immunosuppression. But it's only made out of chicken combs as Arne said, who knows. Guest guest
Interesting! It looks like the main active ingredient (for Juvaderm anyway) is hyaluronic acid. We've been injecting it into some of our horses joints for some years. The mare my wife rides is 18 yo now - it's really improved mobility for her horse. I think you need to ask your Dr. this question. It's hard to imagine how it would be detrimental, but I sure don't know. Hyaluronic acid is extracted from rooster combs, so one contraindication would be allergy to eggs/chicken. Arne .... Juvaderm or Radiesse.
