HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

On behalf of the Miami Dolphins and the Special Teams Driven by Chevy program, we sincerely hope that you had a happy and safe New Year and holiday season. As we close out the year 2011, we wanted to bring to your attention some notable and memorable accolades that the Miami Dolphins Special Teams Driven by Chevy program has accomplished. Below is a just a couple of these accomplishments:

50,699 total volunteer hours completed in 2011

3,402 volunteers completed at least 1 hour of community service in 2011

82% of the volunteer activities completed serviced local nonprofit organizations

1,103 most volunteers at one event

80,590 total hours since program inception in 2010

5,451 volunteers completed at least 1 hour of community service since program inception

In 2012, we will be launching the Special Teams Signature Events platform. This will consist of special community service projects that are organized and sponsored by the Special Teams program. These Signature Events will become annual days of service that the will exemplify the mission of the Special Teams program. The anticipated Signature Event calendar is listed below:

January MLK Day of Service (details listed below)

March Special Teams Day of Service

April Special Teams Anniversary & Volunteer Appreciation party

May/June Fins Weekend Community Service Project

September 9/11 National Day of Service

November National Family Volunteer Day

These will all be family friendly community service events and we highly encourage you to come out and make a difference in our community.
