I have a friend that has a daughter with severe food allergies. She was

receiving therapy before for her fear of eating foods...but the therapist cant

fit her in now when she needs to start back up again. Does anyone know of a

psychologist in Weston, City or Davie area that might specialize in

eating disorders or work with these kids? She is 9 and asked to start going back

again. I figured someone here may have a suggestion! You can email me privately.

We had great difficulty getting our son to eat anything. Picky Eater doesn't even begin to describe my child. I spoke to the BCBA who oversees his ABA therapy program and she worked closely with the ABA assistant who works with our child to get him to eat. This worked amazingly as he now eats protein, veggies, fruits, and cereals. What an answer to prayers. He is still picky but will try lots of foods now, is eating on his own, and asking for seconds! I would highly suggest talking about the eating problems with your ABA therapist. If you do not have an ABA therapist that would be my first move.
