Guest guest
Thank you all for replying,we live approx 35 miles east of Austin TX my husband is listed at University of TX San . He was released last Thursday from San and continues to lose weight he has lost 4 pounds since being released. The ascites is under control. I contribute the weight lost to nausea and vomitting he just can't keep anything down. He sees his hepatolgist in Austin tomorrow and the following Wednesday another appointment in the transplant center. We are fortunate to have excellent health insurance he retired from the Federal government service, if we can't get a few answers we will see about another transplant center. Jan 08 he weighed 208 some of it was ascited now he is down to 150 sleeps all day and night when not sick, weak, his hands will cramp, gaunt looking, no muscle mass. can barely stand unassisted. I think it helps to put a face to these meld scores I was surprised his meld was still listed at 12. Thanks Beck Steffanic
