Aventura: Teen Group Starting Jan 11

In light of recent insurance issues we are offering groups that are more cost effective if a teen is appropriate and could benefit from a group. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Pediatric Psychology Associates isexcited to inform Families and Colleagues of2 new groups that will be starting in January 2012 *Girls Tween Group- Ages 12 to 14*Wednesdays, 5:30 to 6:30 pm *Girls Teen Group- Ages 14 to 17*Wednesdays, 6:30 to 7:30 pm Tween/Teen Groups goal is to provide a well-structured and safe environment where members can discuss issues related to: · Peer pressure/socialization· School related stressors· Effective coping skills· Family issues· Appropriate vs. inappropriate behaviors· Better decision making/problem solving· Other topics as requested by group members Ø Tween/Tween Groups will meet on January 11, 18, & February 1, 8 & 15, 2012 (6 sessions) Ø We are pleased to offer a free 30 minute initial consultation for Tween/Teen group prior to placement Ø Fee $65 per group, or $55 if paid in advance for 6 sessions (teen group $330) Ø Space is limited to 6 group members; Teen Groups are being held in our Aventura office Ø Please contact our Aventura office at for further information, to schedule a free consult or sign up.
